In this 1-hour course, you'll learn basic design essentials to build and launch a standard 5-page website for your early childhood business.

I will walk you through the process of how I design my client's websites from scratch and how you can do the same.

I will share the basics of what to include and what steps to take to DIY your website on the popular website-building application Squarespace.

How the process works

  • Choose a Template

    After we ensure a good fit during our connection call, you’ll pay a deposit and select your starter template.

  • Share Your Content

    You’ll choose the pages you’d like on your site (up to 4 are included). Then, you’ll submit your text and images and schedule your build!

  • Design and Launch

    I’ll build your site and share it for review. We’ll have a scheduled ninety-minute call to make any final edits. Then we launch!

Aspen is perfect for early childhood service providers looking for an affordable Squarespace website. You will use your content to customize this template.

This purchase includes:

  • A single-use licensed copy of the template

  • 5 pre-built website pages, including Home, About, Programs, Contact, and Blog

  • A pre-launch checklist with video tutorials

  • 30 days of technical support via email

You will need to set up hosting on Squarespace after you receive your template. With your purchase, you will receive 20% off your first year. If you choose the business plan, you will also receive a free year of domain name registration and a Google Workspace account.

You will need:

  • A domain name (can be purchased through Squarespace after you install your template)

  • Squarespace hosting subscription for your new website. Wait to purchase this until after you receive your template.

  • Your own text and images to replace the demo content. The images can remain if you choose, as all are allowable for free, commercial use.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, if you already have a logo, I will just need a copy of it in transparent PNG format to add to your site.

  • The quoted prices include the design work that I complete for you, the template of your choice, and any added features mentioned in the plan description.

    They do not include:

    • Your Squarespace website subscription

    • Your domain name hosting

    • Plug-in subscriptions like Acuity Scheduling

    • Commercial license fees for additional photography

    • Fees to hire outside specialists e.g. copywriters or photographers

    I also offer clients the option to add specific services not included in their chosen plan, like additional web pages, logo design, or scheduling setup. These add-ons result in an additional charge that will be shared with you when booking.

  • The build takes place over two days (after you’ve provided your content and images). I typically book a few weeks out for 2-day builds.

  • Once I finish the build, the website is all yours! You can hire me or another designer to make edits or you can do them yourself.

  • Yes, but it is not required. You can provide a different accent color and up to two font choices (heading and body text).

  • At this time, I work exclusively with Squarespace. I’ve made this decision because I believe their user interface produces high-quality websites that are easy to learn and manage. The templates in my shop are intended for use on Squarespace 7.1 only.
